Overview

Most marketing projects begin with an existing website that needs improvement. This wasn’t one of those projects.

Several years ago, Nuvo Agency managed the original A&M Waterproofing website and digital marketing. When the business’s roofing division was acquired by a private equity firm, the waterproofing website and its digital assets were included in that transaction. The original waterproofing domain, website, and online presence were ultimately combined into the acquiring company’s primary website.

Although the waterproofing business continued operating, it no longer controlled the digital assets that had previously represented its brand.

When A&M later decided to relaunch its waterproofing division as a separate business, it faced an unusual challenge. There was no website to improve, no domain to recover, and no Google Business Profile or online authority to reclaim. The business needed to rebuild its online presence from the ground up.

In August 2025, Nuvo Agency partnered with A&M to launch a new digital foundation. That included a new website, a new domain, fresh branding, technical SEO, educational content, Google Ads, and eventually a brand-new Google Business Profile designed to establish local visibility throughout Plymouth and the surrounding communities.

Today, that foundation is beginning to generate measurable results, and the brand continues gaining momentum each month.

The Challenge

Most SEO projects start with an established website that has room for improvement. This project started with almost nothing.

Because ownership of the original digital assets remained with the acquiring company, A&M Waterproofing no longer had control of the website, domain, or many of the online properties that had previously supported the business. Years of digital equity had effectively been left behind. That meant rebuilding much more than a website.

We needed to establish an entirely new digital identity while helping search engines and homeowners recognize A&M Waterproofing as an independent brand once again. Rather than inheriting years of authority, backlinks, and search history, the new website had to earn its credibility from the beginning.

Rebuilding the Foundation

Launching a new website was only the first step. Before homeowners could discover the company online, every foundational element needed to be rebuilt.

We secured a new domain, designed and developed a modern website, established updated branding, implemented technical SEO, and created professionally written service pages focused on basement waterproofing, foundation repair, crawl space repair, and related services.

From the beginning, the website was built around long-term growth rather than short-term rankings. Every page was structured to provide clear information for homeowners while creating a strong technical foundation that search engines could easily understand.

At the same time, Google Ads campaigns were launched to generate immediate visibility while the organic SEO strategy matured.

Rather than waiting for search rankings to improve naturally, paid advertising helped introduce the new brand to homeowners who were actively searching for waterproofing and foundation repair services.

Building Authority One Step at a Time

Once the new website was live, the focus shifted from launching the brand to steadily building its authority.

Additional service pages were published to strengthen topical relevance, while an ongoing educational content strategy began answering the questions homeowners commonly ask before contacting a contractor. These articles help establish expertise while expanding the website’s visibility for informational searches that often occur early in the buying process.

Technical SEO improvements continued alongside regular website enhancements, ensuring the new website remained fast, well-structured, and prepared for future growth.

As the site’s foundation became stronger, local SEO efforts expanded through business citation development and preparations for launching a new Google Business Profile.

Establishing Local Visibility

One of the biggest milestones in rebuilding the brand came with the successful verification of A&M Waterproofing’s new Google Business Profile.

For local service companies, a Google Business Profile is often one of their most valuable marketing assets. It helps homeowners discover the business through Google Search and Google Maps while reinforcing trust through reviews, photos, and company information. Because this profile was built from scratch, every view, interaction, and search represents new visibility that did not exist just months earlier.

Early performance has been encouraging. Within the first months after verification, the Business Profile generated nearly 300 profile views and 120 customer interactions. Interactions increased from 50 in May to 70 in June, while homeowners began discovering the company through important local searches such as “foundation repair.”

For a newly established profile with no historical authority, those early signals demonstrate that the new brand is beginning to establish itself within the local market.

Progress So Far

Although this project is still in progress, the early indicators demonstrate that rebuilding a digital brand from scratch is possible with a disciplined, long-term strategy.

Since launching the new website in August 2025:

  • Website traffic has steadily increased month over month.
  • Google Ads has generated immediate visibility while SEO continues building authority.
  • Educational content has expanded the website’s topical relevance.
  • A new Google Business Profile has begun establishing local visibility in Plymouth.
  • Organic impressions and search activity continue trending upward as the website matures.

Unlike an established website with years of authority, every improvement earned by A&M Waterproofing represents new growth built on a completely fresh foundation.

What This Project Has Reinforced

One of the biggest lessons from this project is that digital assets matter. A website, domain, Google Business Profile, and local citations become valuable business assets over time. When ownership changes through acquisitions or mergers, those assets don’t always stay with the business. Rebuilding after losing that digital equity requires patience, consistency, and a strategy that balances immediate lead generation with long-term organic growth.

For A&M Waterproofing, that has meant combining Google Ads, educational content, technical SEO, local optimization, and ongoing website improvements into a single strategy designed to support the business for years to come. The story is still being written, but the early results show that a strong digital foundation can be rebuilt, even when it has to start from zero.

Looking Ahead

This Growth Story is still in progress. As A&M Waterproofing continues to expand its online presence, Nuvo Agency remains focused on increasing organic visibility, strengthening local authority, publishing educational content, and refining paid advertising to generate qualified leads.

Rebuilding a brand doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one improvement, one customer, and one month at a time. That’s exactly the journey A&M Waterproofing is on today.
